What a year! Through all of our struggles and triumphs this past year, we’ve persevered, come together as a community, and supported each other in our greatest time of need, even if it has been at a distance.
As things begin to return to “normal”, Eccles Elementary PTA is in dire need of your help! Without you we will not survive another year!!!
Eccles Elementary PTA has provided our school community with Family Fun Nights (pumpkin night, bingo for books, color dash), Oregon Battle of the Books, field trips, kindergarten welcome gifts (this has been a Eccles t-shirt in past years), Scholastic News, BizTown, Staff appreciation, 6th grade celebration, Artists in Residence, and this is only the tip of the iceberg! Without participants, such as you, the Eccles Elementary community will lose these great programs.
Who can join (or participate with) the Eccles PTA? Almost anyone! Parents, grandparent, aunts, uncles; teachers, staff, administration, current & former; community leaders and members; alumni. If you have a desire to help our school community thrive, you are perfect for our association. No weird rituals, long boring meetings, catty social groups, or volunteer requirements. You don’t even have to be a member, although members receive benefits through the state and national PTA as well as voting rights on all matters, and board members are required to be paid members. Volunteers must have a current background check on file with the school for any interaction with students.
WE NEED YOU! Come to a meeting (second Tuesday of the month – membership not required to attend and meetings are currently virtual), chair an event, become a board member, donate your time or money. We can’t do it without you!
