What does the PTA do?
We advocate for the health, education and safety of all students and provide a forum for parent involvement and education. Eccles PTA supports students and teachers through classroom supplements and educational enhancements, family fun nights (Color Dash, Pumpkin Night, Bingo for Books), Jog-a-thon, field trips, Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB), Scholastic News, yearbooks, assemblies and so much more. We also organize teacher appreciation initiatives and staff celebrations. We need your support and voice to be successful! Join Eccles PTA and start making a difference today!
Meet your PTA Board
Your PTA board is all new to their roles this year and is made up of some wonderful individuals who are dedicated to the Eccles community:
President is Jolie Ferrell. Jolie has one son going into second grade and a pre-schooler at home. Jolie keeps us on task and she always shows up to meetings with extra pens.
Vice President is Danielle “Dani” Apken. Dani has three kids at Eccles - one going into sixth, one going into fourth and one going into second. She knows everyone at the school and tackles anything asked of her.
Secretary is Tracy Voeller. Tracy has sons going into kindergarten and second grade. Tracy helps keep us compliant with the PTA organizations and organizes our meetings, agendas and minutes. Tracy is the keeper of THE BINDER.
Treasurer is Megan Duvall. Megan has a son going into second grade and handles all things money for the PTA. This includes reimbursing teachers for supplies, budgeting for our many community activities and managing our accounting.
Volunteer Coordinator for our PTA is Tera Abbott. Tera has loads of experience in event organization and helps get the right people in roles to make sure our events are a success. Her daughter is going into second grade.
Marketing Coordinator for our PTA is Molly Bailey. Molly has a son going into second grade this year. She makes sure that our communications look nice and gathers photography for our annual yearbook.
